11 Black Graphic Novels and Trades to Read this Summer
As we all know, summer time is the right time to catch up on your comic book reading list by picking up amazing trades and graphic novels from your local library.
Wait! The Library?
That’s right! When it comes to Black Comics, public libraries are a Godsend!
Libraries carry a wide variety of graphic novels and trades covering a plethora of genres.
I wish my LCS (local comic shop) was this diverse, but as a Black Comic Book reader I’ve learned that libraries and bookstores have comic shops beat when it comes to providing books featuring strong Black leads and creators from marginalized communities.
The following is a list of titles that I found in my local library system. Can’t find a title at your library? No problem. Your library should be able to order them or borrow these titles via their library system.
